This is issue has been reported as a feature enhancement in ESA-23441 Collection set creation should show collection task description in the Tasks/Custodians tab, however, it remains unresolved since Clearwell v711.
In the feature enhancement, I mentioned that I have a very large customer who creates Collection Sets from mulitple Collections Tasks and at times are unsure about which Collection Tasks they're adding to the Collection Set as there's no description, e.g. pop-up on hover, included for each of the Collection Tasks listed. This can be an even bigger issue when there are multiple Collection Tasks that are the same size.

I understand that there is currently no requirement for an entry in the Description field when creating a Collection Task, however, if there was for example it could be used in a pop-up on hover when selecting Collection Tasks to add to a Collection Set:
